Investment Apps Checked Before You Download

Every app reviewed here has been assessed against published regulatory standards before you decide to download.

How Each Review Works

Each app goes through the same four stages so the findings are consistent and comparable.

01

Verify the App Store Listing

A regulated trading app carries a verifiable company name, a registered address, and a licence number in its store listing. Where those details are absent, vague, or contradict public records, that gap is documented.

02

Check Regulatory Status

Legitimate investment platforms appear on official registers published by financial regulators. When an app claims authorisation that no register confirms, or names a jurisdiction it is not licensed in, that discrepancy is recorded in full.

03

Examine Permissions and Behaviour

A genuine trading app requests only the permissions its function requires. Apps that demand access to contacts, cameras, or device storage without a clear reason are flagged, and any unusual data behaviour is noted.

04

Assess User Reviews Critically

Authentic app store reviews accumulate gradually and reflect a range of experiences. A pattern of identically worded five-star entries posted within a short window is a documented warning sign, and those patterns are reported on here.

A fraudulent investment app is designed to look credible at the point of download and to become difficult to question only after money has moved.

Editorial reporting guidelines

Spot the Difference

A Legitimate App

  • Licence number visible on the store listing
  • Withdrawal requests processed within stated timeframes
  • Risk warnings displayed prominently inside the app
  • Customer support reachable through verifiable contact details

A Fraudulent App

  • Licence claimed but absent from any official register
  • Withdrawals blocked or met with escalating fee demands
  • Guaranteed returns promised with no risk disclosure
  • Support contact changes or goes silent after deposit

Recently Reviewed Apps

New fraudulent apps appear in stores regularly, so the review index is updated as reports come in.
